DESN 350 - Photo Lighting & Production

The subject for this photo essay is the setting sun casting warm glows and shadows on a somber wintery farm in the prairies of Two Hills, Alberta, Canada. The farm belongs to my grandparents, Emily and John, who have lived there for 42 years. The meaning of this story is to evoke a reflection of aging with ones home, the wear and tear of materials and how it’s represented sitting softly in the untouched blankets of snow.
